Dental Exams
During the exam, the dentist will perform a comprehensive examination of your teeth and gums to ensure the health and wellness of your mouth. The exam includes an oral cancer screening, x-rays, and review with your dentist. You should see your dentist every 6 months for a dental exam and cleaning.
Preventative Care
During your bi-annual cleaning, your dentist and hygienist will ensure you are maintaining good dental hygiene habits such as brushing and flossing. This can include education, tutorials, and can prevent you from needing more dental work done in the future.
Fillings
A filling is a treatment for a cavity, it replaces part of the tooth destroyed by decay in order to restore function, integrity, strength, and appearance. Catching decay before it becomes too extensive can save you from larger dental expenses down the line.
Root Canals
Root canal is a treatment to repair and save a damaged or infected tooth instead of removing it. The term "root canal" comes from cleaning of the canals inside a tooth's root. With advances in dentistry and anesthetic, root canals are not the painful taboo they once were!
Crowns
A crown, or dental cap, is a type of dental restoration that completely caps or encircles a tooth, just as a crown or tiara would. A crown may be needed when a cavity is very large and threatens the health and strength of a tooth.
Bridges
A bridge is a fixed dental restoration used to replace one or more missing teeth by joining an artificial tooth to adjacent teeth or dental implants. Just as a bridge connects bodies of land, we use a bridge to reconnect your smile.
